There are several ways to help at the Share Food Share Love Food Pantry:
- We are always looking for volunteers to help during our regular food distribution hours. We distribute food every Tuesday evening from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and every Saturday morning from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Volunteers should try to arrive at the Pantry 30 minutes prior to opening (so please arrive at 6:30 pm on Tuesdays and 9:30 am on Saturdays). During these times we need volunteers to help our neighbors select the food items they want, pack the items and assist in getting the food to the neighbor's vehicle. Anyone can volunteer as we are careful not to ask our volunteers to exert themselves beyond their capabilities. We will happily accept help from volunteers of all ages, however, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult during their entire shift. Click on the link above to see available opportunities and to sign up.
- We can always use help unloading our weekly food deliveries and stocking our shelves. Food deliveries come on Friday mornings. For more information on assisting with deliveries, please email us at contactus@sharefoodsharelove.com.
- We are also looking for volunteers to help us collect food and raise funds for the Pantry. We will provide those interested with specific details as they become available. For more information, please email us at contactus@sharefoodsharelove.com.
If you are looking to volunteer to satisfy a service hour requirement, please click here or on the button below and register for available volunteer positions.
THANK YOU!
Here is what we seek: a compassion that can stand in awe at what the poor have to carry, rather than stand in judgment at how they carry it. -Boyle
