Thank you to our friends at DuPage Credit Union for coming and helping out at the Pantry on October 22. The Credit Union has always been a great supporter of the Pantry, but this was their first time actually coming to the Pantry and helping out. Thanks for coming out everyone! And if you would like more information on the Credit Union, visit their website at dupagecu.com or check out their Facebook page at facebook.com/dupagecu.
Our friends at Faith Lutheran Church, our partner and Pantry host, have just recently rededicate their mission and ministry to focus on the fight against hunger. For many years, Faith periodically held food drives and took special collections and they were also instrumental in the creation of the Food Pantry in 2015. However, this renewal will result in concentration of the church's focus and resources to hunger-related programs and issues. We applaud Faith for their continuing effort and look forward to continuing our partnership in the fight against hunger.
We don't know about you, but there is nothing we would rather be doing on a Saturday morning or Tuesday evening than working at the Food Pantry!
Seriously, we have a lot of fun at the Pantry, while helping a lot of people. With the kids going back to school and things returning to normal, now is a good time to come in and check it out. All you have to do is come one time and you'll be hooked! Can you swing a commitment for 2 hours, once a month? If you can, please go to www.sharefoodsharelove.com/how-do-i-volunteer.html and sign up.
